La Force, France

We didn’t stay in Carcassonne itself but in a village about 30 minutes from the city called LaForce. It was a little B & B run by a lady originally from England but who has lived throughout Europe for most of her adult life. She has beautifully renovated the property. We stayed in the ‘attic’ and it was lovely. I probably couldn’t have stayed there too long as I had to spend a lot of time ducking the beams and could see over the shower curtain! But the height was perfect for Matt and Belinda! It was a lovely stay and the bed was so comfy!

We drove into Carcassonne the first night for dinner and tried to take a few photographs of the old city. It was difficult to find an unobstructed view (with somewhere for the camera to sit) but this is what we managed to take…
