Chateau of Loire - Cheverny

This Chateau is still in private hands and lived in. From what we can guess the family must live in the top 2 floors as the lower 2 were open to the public. It is certainly a comfortable place, much smaller than the 2 above and quite beautiful. The painted ceilings and detail on the window shutters was astounding. The house and lands have been in the family since the 1500s and has obviously undergone many changes over the past 500+ years.

This chateau is very liveable.
