We drove to Rothenburg ob der Tauber along the river which runs through Heidelberg. Along the way there were quite a few castles, some just ruins, some more in tact...
I loved this house - it was so tall and thin I just had to take a picture...

It was very beautiful and so different from the other medieval cities we had visited in France and Italy. It is also home to the Christmas Museum and a HUGE Christmas shop - unfortunately we ran out of time in this shop - but not before buying one or two items LOL
