London - Paris 1 September 2007

Romford to Sevres-Lecourbe was basically an easy journey. The biggest issue was the stations with no lifts. I think it was 5 trains in total but the apartment is almost at the door of the final train station. The only problem was getting into the apartment - it took 3 hours from arrival at the front door to actually get inside it.

We ended up having a drink across the road. From left to right is Klaus (Belinda's step-brother and our guide), Belinda and Matt. Klaus is German (were are staying with him in Heidelberg, Germany in Octobe) but has lived in Paris. He speaks German, English, Spanish, Italian and French so is very handy to have around!

The apartment is owned by people who live in New York and a local company (I assume it is a business) takes care of the keys, etc. Well the local company dropped the ball big time. In the end a phone call to New York alerted the people in France that we were waiting (the French number was disconnected) and it took almost 90 minutes from then for them to turn up even though they are apparently only 10 minutes away. I think you can probably guess what our feedback form will be like.

But the apartment is great - typically Parisian and a great location. I will add some inside pictures when I take them (probably on Friday night or Saturday morning once we have packed) but for now...

Our apartmentment in the building on the corner, second floor from the top. We have a entry, toilet, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and 2 bedrooms. I think technically it can sleep 7.

This is looking left out of the bedroom window. The photos outside were taken from the station.

If we walk about 20 meters out the front door and look left we can see...

It isn't as close as it looks here but we went for a short walk one night after dinner.

We returned to the cafe above on the way home and I played around with the camera a little. The red awning of our apartment building is just left of the tail lights of the car under the bridge..
